Equipment Description: 1989 US military FLU419. 500 miles and 700 hours since 2004 military rebuild. These were assembled by Freightliner with a loader and backhoe (both work well, particularly the Case backhoe), but I''ve removed them from this unit. $23000 with backhoe and loader. I can modify to your needs (different implements, pickup bed, etc) if necessary, but not without a deposit.

The base truck is a Mercedes Benz Unimog 406 (see: http://www.unimogcentre.com/unimogprinc.html) with some modifications (high intake snorkel, different air filter, changes in lights and signals, rollover protection, etc).

These will go about anywhere. 4x4 fully locking differentials (air operated), approx 40" high tires, 17.5" of ground clearance (more than a Humvee).

110hp 5.7L diesel. Doesn't sound crazy but it gets around very nicely - 16 forward gears and 8 reverse gears. High/low, 4-speed with air split shift. Will move a lot faster down the highway than other tractors could even dream of.

There is an auxiliary hydraulic circuit on the side (with a hose reel) that can run handheld hydraulic tools: Breakers/jackhammers, chainsaws, hammer drills, impact guns, trash pumps, etc

My asking price is very reasonable for this useful and interesting piece of equipment. This is the 7th I've had and I'm familiar with what needs to be serviced and replaced after sitting in military storage. I check key systems (air system, hydraulic brakes, electrical), change fluids, and clean them up thoroughly. I try to drive them around as much as possible to "loosen them up" from storage. Call for more specific details.

This unit comes with very good tires. All are almost new. Will get pictures of when I have them installed.

Build yourself an offroader, a snowplow, a highly-mobile "generator"/tool-system.

Go with the Schmit loader and case backhoe for digging, moving dirt, and feeding cows.

Or do BOTH!

Thank you and feel free to ask questions.
